I was expecting something overwhelming and almost offensively over-the-top when sampling this on a small puffed rice crackerbread. I was happily surprised by it. The flavour was not far from any regular chevre cheese, but maybe slightly more refined?
I can imagine several nice uses for it:
- as such in a cheese selection, would be really great on a light cracker
- as spiced butter with some steak (maybe especially mutton)
- with steamed vegetables
- possibly with some fish, but I have no idea about the details of that particular idea
